Warranty Disclaimer

GrayFox Electronics, Inc. hereby expressly disclaims all warranties, either expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or any other warranty of any kind on any of the products or services which GrayFox Electronics, Inc provides. Computer systems, hardware components, peripheral devices, software and any other tangible component sold by GrayFox Electronics, Inc, are warranted only by the manufacturer or publisher of such component and are limited to the terms set forth by said manufacturer or publisher. GrayFox Electronics, Inc is not responsible for obtaining warranty services or performance of warranty terms for any such component.

Services rendered by GrayFox Electronics, Inc may void manufacturer warranties for a computer system, computer network system, or a related device. GrayFox Electronics, Inc does not assume any liability or warranty in the event that the manufacturer warranties are voided. GrayFox Electronics, Inc offers no verbal or written warranty, either expressed or implied, regarding the success of services rendered.

 

No Consequential Damages

In no event shall GrayFox Electronics, Inc, its subsidiaries or affiliates, or its respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, contractors or suppliers (collectively, " GrayFox Electronics, Inc ") be held liable for special, incidental, consequential, punitive, direct, indirect, physical, compensatory, punitive or any other damages, including but not limited to, physical injury, loss of data, loss of use, or loss of profits, however caused, whether for breach of contract, negligence, or otherwise, regardless if GrayFox Electronics, Inc has been advised of the possibility of any such damages.

Revisions to these terms and conditions. GrayFox Electronics, Inc may revise these terms and conditions at any time by publishing said revisions on GrayFox Electronics, Inc website; www.grayfoxelectronics.com or at our physical retail location at management’s discretion. All revisions to these terms and conditions are effective immediately and all transactions before the changes. You agree that if any part of these terms and conditions are found to be unenforceable, the remainder of these terms and conditions will remain in full force and effect.

 

Ownership

By agreeing to have GrayFox Electronics, Inc perform services on any computer system, computer network system, or related device, you certify that you are the expressed owner of said computer, computer network system or related device or are an authorized agent for the owner. In the event that you are found not to be the true expressed owner of said computer system, computer network system, or related device, you assume all liability for any claim made as the result of the services rendered by GrayFox Electronics, Inc on said computer system, computer network system, or related device including those claims which.

 

Definitions

Computer system is defined as the CPU enclosure and software (operating system, applications and other installed software).

Hardware is defined as any individual component that is contained within the Computer System such as hard disk drives, main boards, processors, memory modules or any other component contained within the Computer System.

Peripheral device is defined as any hardware item which attaches to the Computer System such as Printers, Monitors, Cameras, etc.

Data is defined as any information which is not part of the operating system, application software or other installed software such as pictures, word processing documents, email, financial data, or any other user created information stored on the computer system.

 

Title to Goods

 Title to purchased goods is retained by GrayFox Electronics, Inc until such goods are paid for in full by the purchaser or purchaser’s agent.

 

Rates and Minimum Charges

Shop Repairs

Initial Diagnostic or Service Fee- Unless stated otherwise- Non-Refundable on the following:

PC & Laptop Diagnostics - $90.00

Gaming Consoles- $55

Gaming PC’s, All In Ones, and Laptops – 139.99 or by discretion of Management 

Cell Phone Diagnostics - $35 price does not include removing or replacing glued back covers or phone screens if it is needed to remove in order to properly diagnose the device because glued screens and back covers are very fragile and may break. The customer will be contacted before any further work.

Tablet Diagnostics - $55 price does not include removing or replacing glued back covers or phone screens if it is Needed to Remove in order to properly diagnose the device because glued screens and back covers are very fragile and may break. The customer will be contacted before any further work. 

Bench Charge $45.  No repair or repair declined without diagnosis at the discretion of management

Minimum Charge- $45  Non- Diagnostic or Diagnostic minor repair less than one hour.

Repair and Extended Diagnostics-  $99 per hour $45 by the half hour.

Diagnostics

The Initial Diagnostic or Service Fee is due up front at Management’s discretion based on a case by case evaluation. If a Diagnostic or Service Fee is collected from the customer before the repair, upon management’s discretion, the Diagnostic or Service Fee will be removed if the labor is greater than the initial Diagnostic or Service fee. If the initial Diagnostic or Service Fee was not collected before the repair, the customer does not merit a Diagnostic or Service Fee removal and will receive the full cost to repair the device. However, if the customer declines the work, the customer would owe the initial Diagnostic or Service Fee.

In the event that diagnostics take longer than one hour, you will be notified of the findings thus far and will be given the option to continue the diagnostics or pursue another option. Extended diagnostics will be billed at the prevailing hourly rate. Upon agreement for extended diagnostics, you will be notified at each one hour interval with the findings. Your oral agreement to continue diagnostics constitutes an Oral contract in which you agree to pay GrayFox Electronics, Inc regardless of the outcome for the time spent in diagnostics.

The length of time required to service/ repair your device cannot be predicted.

Customer authorizes the technician(s) providing the service or repair to install anti-virus and any other necessary software on your computer to perform required services. All software will be deleted/ uninstalled upon completion of the service (unless purchased).

Estimates

After diagnosing the problem GrayFox Electronics, Inc will notify you with a verbal estimate to repair your system including any diagnostic charges if applicable. Your oral agreement to repair constitutes an Oral contract in which you agree to pay GrayFox Electronics, Inc for the diagnostics and repair upon completion. Written estimates will be provided upon request.

Payment

Unless prior arrangements are made, payment is due when services are rendered. Payment may be by cash or credit card. Any other arrangements must be made in advance of services being provided.

All services or repairs will be subject to Virginia State Taxes.

Payment By Check

GrayFox Electronics, Inc requires a valid Virginia Driver’s License with every check. Returned checks will be assessed a twenty – five dollar ($25.00) return fee. However, GrayFox Electronics, Inc does not accept personal checks.

 

Security

Customer is responsible for updating definitions to antivirus software and applying security patches to the operating system after the date of repair on the unit.

GrayFox Electronics, Inc is NOT responsible for viral infections of the unit or any security compromises to the unit, including compromises due to weak passwords after the date of repair.

 

Abandoned Items

 Unless prior arrangements are made, any item left for repair that is not picked up and paid for within 30 days of completion of said repair will be considered as abandoned. GrayFox Electronics, Inc will notify you by certified mail that GrayFox Electronics, Inc considers your item abandoned by you and if the item is not picked up and paid for within 15 business days of our notification of your receipt of said notice, the item will be repossessed and become property of GrayFox Electronics, Inc. The receipt by GrayFox Electronics, Inc for the certified mail sent to you and further, accepted by you together with your failure to contact us within the 15 day time frame is your acknowledgement the item is indeed abandoned and you thereby transfer title to GrayFox Electronics, Inc for disposition. Also, GrayFox Electronics, Inc is not responsible for reporting any changes to your address, phone number, or email address, you are to notify us in such cases or changes.  Abandoning and subsequent possession of your item does not relieve you from the amounts due. GrayFox Electronics, Inc reserves the right to pursue collections and by failing to respond you agree to be liable for any and all costs incurred in such collections. Prior to any further transactions with GrayFox Electronics, Inc, you will be required to remit in full on any previous amounts due plus provide pre-payment for any further services.

 

Warranty and Return Policy

Your original receipt or invoice is required on all Returns.

If you are not satisfied with the New, Like New, or Refurbished products you purchased from us and you return the product with the original receipt or invoice within 7 days from the original invoice date, you may receive a full refund if the item is returned in the same condition it was purchased in.

All Refunds after 7 days will require a 25% Restocking Fee up to 90 day warranty. After 30 days and up to the 90 day warranty period, we will accept store exchanges minus the 25% restocking fee for any other purchases in the store as long as the item is returned in the same condition as purchased. If the item is not returned in the condition it was purchased in, the warranty is void, and the customer cannot return or exchange the item.

If the tamper proof sticker is removed after the purchase, repair, or service, the warranty is void.

Special order Computer Systems are non-refundable and non-returnable. Monitors, printers, and un-opened computer parts may be returned within 7 days from the original invoice date and are subject to a 25% restocking fee (unless defective).

Any New, Refurbished, or Used product that is returned without all item(s) included with the original product is non-refundable and non-returnable.

Opened software, games, videos, used electronics parts, or Phone plans are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Used items are non-refundable and non-returnable unless otherwise stated by management.

PC’s, Laptops, TV’s, or other Electronics besides Tablet’s or Cell Phone’s that are sold through this store come with a 90 day warranty unless stated by the customer service Representative or Management at check out. Cell Phones and Tablets have a 30 day limited warranty.

If the replacement screen for a repair or a screen on a purchased Tablet or Cell Phone is damaged within 30 days, meaning the screen ghosts, LCD or Digitizer is cracked, the frame is bent, there is water damage, the phone overheated due to too much strain being put on the device by software or other means, the device has vertical or horizontal lines on the LCD, the screen had limited touch or touch to half the screen, the device has physical damage, or not returned in the same condition it was purchased in, we cannot refund the purchase or repair.

Refunds will be made in the form of original payment. Purchases made by cash over $60 will be refunded by company check.

 

Recycling

Customer is responsible for recycling unwanted or defective Computer Systems, Peripheral devices or hardware components. GrayFox Electronics, Inc will recycle the following items for a fee; Computer Systems for a fee of $10 per system recycled, printers for a fee of $15 per printer recycled, and monitors for a fee of $15 per monitor recycled. Hardware components replaced by GrayFox Electronics, Inc during the course of a repair will be recycled at no additional charge. Recycling fees are over and above any minimum charge.

 

Ordered Parts

Computer Systems and Peripheral devices: All computer systems and peripheral devices require a deposit equal to the cost of the system or device before ordering. Taxes, shipping and service charges are due upon delivery.

Shop Repairs: If a part is required to facilitate a repair that is not a standard part in GrayFox Electronics, Inc, and the part(s) has a total cost over $1 with or without shipping, customer will be required to pay a deposit of 100% of the cost of the part before part is ordered.

Over the Counter Parts orders: All “Over the counter” parts orders require a deposit of 100%, including the cost of shipping, of the cost of the part before the part is ordered.

If for any reason the customer decides PRIOR TO REPAIR, not to purchase goods that have been ordered, customer will be solely responsible for shipping costs to and from manufacturer, plus a cancellation charge of 25% of the total order value.

 

APPLE

GrayFox Electronics, Inc offers Genuine Apple parts sourced from Apple. Also, GrayFox Electronics, Inc uses Apple       Diagnostics, tools, and processes to make sure your Apple product repair is done safely and reliably.

By using this website I acknowledge that:

  • Apple does not acknowledge nor imply any said warranty on any repair that GrayFox Electronics, Inc performs on my device.
  • GrayFox Electronics, Inc offers a 30 day warranty on all apple device repairs whether they are done with aftermarket or Apple genuine parts unless device malfunction is the fault of the customer (see warranty and return section for further details).
  • Apple does not recommend nor do they offer any said warranty on any aftermarket parts or repairs that are used or performed on their devices, and by initialing this line you are acknowledging the risks taken by doing so. 

GrayFox Electronics, Inc will use Apple and Apple Aftermarket diagnostics to diagnose and confirm the repair is done correctly. In most cases, a printout is given to the customer to confirm the repair was done correctly unless for some reason, the printout cannot be printed. A Retail associate will explain on a case by case bases as it is something that GrayFox Electronics, Inc cannot control.
